The Smart Works annual report is here.
The latest annual report looks back at the 12 months from April 2021 to March 2022.
On 1st April, we were still in full lockdown, shops were closed and our clients were unable to come to our centre in person. With that context, the Smart Works community achieved more than ever before during these 12 months. Here are some highlights from an important year:
With Covid restrictions lifting, every centre re-opened to offer an in-person service and welcomed our clients back into our centres.
In total, we supported 4682 women on their journey to employment with 72% going on to get the job within a month of their visit.
We embedded our lock-down innovations, Career Coaching and Virtual Dressings, into our core programme delivery.
Together, as a community, and inspired by the needs of our beneficiaries, we agreed an ambitious new Three-Year Plan to double the number of women we help each year to 10,000 by 2025.
We lay down foundations for our future growth, with successful fundraising including Cycle 2022, the support of long-term partners like Bobbi Brown and standout events including Goodwood and our first pop-up shop hosted at Bicester Village.
Our Founder Chair, Juliet Hughes-Hallett handed over the reins to ScienceMagic.Inc Founder Julietta Dexter in April 2021, and took on the new role of Honorary President.
For all those who have helped us get to where we are, thank you for your continued commitment to our clients and the charity. Community is at the heart of Smart Works and we couldn’t do what we do without you.
