Hot damn! Yesterday marked 9 years of living in LA. 🥳 And while I thought the first photo was perfect to post with the Hollywood sign in the background .. I hesitated because of my double chins. 🫣 I’ve heard many, many times through the years how I’m so confident, so great on camera, and all that jazz .. But truthfully, I really struggle with my appearance. Mainly my weight. It’s been an ongoing battle. [esp now being the heaviest I’ve ever been after pregnancy ugh.] But I’m pretty damn determined and committed to have our online makeup biz be successful and scalable AF — so I ignore my insecurities 1100% and put myself out there regardless how I feel. So I’m posting the photo. Because it’s not about my double chin. It’s about the life changing experiences I’ve gone through in the past 9 years with meeting the love of my life, working all the award shows, body painting Britney Spears, department heading feature films, music videos, live events, having a beautiful baby girl, teaching hundreds of students around the world, and living to tell the tale. 🥰 Who TF am I to let my double chins and insecurities hold me back from creating a magical life? ✨ I’ve got experience, insight, artistry, and knowledge UP THE WAZOO that would benefit any makeup artist or beauty pro who’s willing to listen and implement. 🔥 And I like to believe that by me putting myself out on the internet as much as I do, with all my chins, that it’ll inspire other beauty pros to do the same — despite their own personal judgement and insecurities. 🤗 It’s the whole, if I can do it — you can do it, too! 💯 Don’t let yourself hold yourself back from doing things that’ll light up your soul. ✨ Let’s leave self shaming in 2023 and bring being dauntless into 2024! 💥 So tell me — what’s been holding you back from taking life changing steps and are you committed to releasing that hold up? 👀 Spill ⤵️
