Yesterday was one of the worst days of my life. I lost the first man that ever showed me unconditional love— my grandpa. . There are so many things I could say about who this man was. I actually searched my brain last night for a single bad memory of him and I couldn’t come up with one because he was perfect. . He was kind and funny as hell and so handsome and humble and quiet and intelligent. He loved to read and snack— I got those both from him. I feel like every good part of me came from him. He tickled my back when I couldn’t sleep when I was little. James has carried in the torch with that one. In fact, the moment I knew I loved James was when I realized how much like my grandpa he is. . Grandpa was always there through every stage of my life with love and support 100% unconditionally. He taught me that being creative and weird and unique was ok. . I will never love anyone the way that I love my grandpa. I miss you already.
