Yesterday marked a year since the tornado hit the farm and the valley here at @waltonscreek and a 200 mile path through the south. In many ways that day feels like a million years ago. The year was hard, but it was a year that the communities came together like I’d never experienced before. Neighbors became like family. Those that showed up and helped out became saints. An appreciation for the land became even more profound. The world, and the science that guides it is something that we don’t always understand, but even in the hardest and darkest of moments a good community can always help you through. We’ve still got a lot of rebuilding left to do, but we sure ain’t where we were a year ago this morning. To all of you that have reached out over the past year as we’ve rebuilt and adjusted to the changes of life out here on the frontier... THANK YOU!
