1st time making thai crying tiger & didn’t shed a single tear 🐯🇹🇭 #thaifood #thaicooking #thairecipe #thai #thailand #easyrecipe #quickrecipes #simplerecipe #cookwithme #steaktiktok #steakrecipe #cryingtiger 🐯INGREDIENTS🐯 ✨Crying Tiger Steak เสือร้องไห้ @mheememhor✨ • 10oz of your fave cut of steak (the more marbled, the better imo 😋) • 1 tbsp fish sauce • 1 tbsp oyster sauce • 1 tsp sugar • 1 tsp black pepper • 1/2 tsp oil ✨Crying Tiger Sauce น้ําจิ้มแจ่ว @thaicaliente✨ • 2 tbsp fish sauce • Juice from 1.5 limes (add more to taste) • 1 heaping tsp toasted rice powder (raw toasted jasmine rice ground into powder, I add another spoonful if I want my sauce more toasty) • 1 tsp ground Thai chili flakes (start with 1 tsp and add more for more heat) • 1 tsp sugar • 2 tbsp minced cilantro • 2 tbsp minced green onion • 1/2 shallot thinly sliced • 1 tbsp tamarind juice (optional bc it’s tough to find) • Taste the sauce and add 1 tbsp water to make it less concentrated 🐯STEPS🐯 1. Combine fish sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, black pepper, oil, and marinate your steak for 1 hour in fridge 2. After 1 hour, let the steak get room temp and cook on either stove / grill to your desired doneness. Let rest for 10mins before cutting 3. Combine sugar, fish sauce, lime juice, and tamarind juice (optional). Mix until sugar is dissolved. 4. Add in toasted rice powder, Thai chili flakes, and mix together 5. Add shallots, cilantro, and green onion 6. Taste test and add extra fish sauce, chili, lime, toasted rice powder, or sugar if you want! Dilute with water 1 tbsp at a time to make the sauce less concentrated 7. Slice steak and serve with sticky rice and fresh veggies
