Caramel Apple Moon Crater Pie Recipe: + 6 tablespoons unsalted butter + 1/2 cup white sugar + 1/2 cup brown sugar + 1/4 cup water + 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon + 1 pinch salt + 5 apples - peeled, cored and sliced + lemon juice Pie crust: use your favorite recipe or, if you’re a parent on the go, get a pilspury pre-made crusts. Ain’t no shame, ladies do your thang. Instructions: +Oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). +Peel and slice your apples. Add a little lemon juice to reduce browning. Add your cinnamon to the apples and mix. +Combine butter, white sugar, brown sugar, water and salt in a saucepan over medium heat. Boil and then set aside. + Place pie crust in bottom. Roll out top crust into a 10-inch circle. use tops from different bottles to cut different size holes. Keep cut outs for later. + Fill pie with sliced apples. Put top crust on and fold edges together. Now pour your brown sugar mixture into the holes and top with your cut pie crust circles. + Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees) and bake until the crust is golden brown, the caramel on the top crust is set, and the apple filling is bubbling, 35 to 40 more minutes.
