Been debating about holding off on posting or not because we woke up this morning having gone back 50 years in terms of women’s rights...I went to bed last night on such a ✨HIGH✨ after being surrounded by 39 talented women artists, writers, and producers the last 3 days where my team and I created a safe and inspiring space for creativity, collaboration, and new friendships. #CreatedbyWomen was started by me and @michellefantus as a way to empower women to seek out other female-identifying collaborators and turn this man’s world upside down 🔃 Did you know that women make up ONLY 2% of producers and 12% of songwriters?! This has to change...and slowly but surely it is. To feel like we are making so much progress in one thing and taking so many steps back in another is a horrible feeling but it only goes to prove that we need to keep pushing and providing safe spaces for women whether that be in the studio, in the club, or the in the streets...I’m privileged to be able to do it at work! @spotify @noteable When I say this week was CREATED BY WOMEN — I mean it. Everything was intentional from the Content Team, Event Producers, Vendors, and Gifting. Shout out my amazing team. 💐
