It’s her voice that I can hear in the back of my mind when I am doing something hard, almost every time. Encouraging words, the truth, this real and raw advice about discomfort and how you just have to keep going. @emilyaharrington has been a beacon of light for me since the day I met her. She’s no stranger to voluntary suffering, setting audacious goals and trying really hard. It’s an honor to have her as a guest on Care Less, Do More.
We talk about climbing being a series of failures until it is a success, about continuing to climb and gain strength through pregnancy, we relive some of our best adventures and so much more. Emily has truly been a major source of inspiration for myself and so many others. Tougher than nails, yet soft and incredibly understanding, never one to hold a grudge and always forgiving. Thank you Emily for our years of friendship which made me comfortable asking you to be my first podcast interview I have ever done. Oddly, I was nervous, but as per usual doing hard things with you is really fun.
This episode was recorded before the passing of Hilaree Nelson and is most certainly dedicated to her. May we all live as true to ourselves and as passionately and authentically as Hilaree did. Hilaree, you are missed by so many and we thank you for setting the boot pack and showing us that anything is possible.
