📸 #TBT Troy Montes Michie’s (@troymmichie) work in CAMH’s past exhibitions, Outside the Lines: Rites of Spring (2014) and Stonewall 50 (2019). We’re one week away from the opening of Troy Montes Michie: Rock of Eye! But first, let’s take a walk down memory lane and learn more about the artist’s history with CAMH 🚶🏻 Montes Michie’s work was first featured in Rites of Spring, the fourth exhibition of the six-part Outside the Lines series that was conceived as an evolving dialogue on contemporary abstraction. His work was later featured in Stonewall 50, a group exhibition that took place fifty years after the 1969 Stonewall Riots. Featuring a diverse group of artists, Stonewall 50 was a snapshot of the artists’ responses to the worlds around them, addressing a range of personal and collective concerns such as trans visibility, formal and conceptual inter-generational dialogue, and queer communities and issues in and outside of the U.S. Troy Montes Michie: Rock of Eye opens to the public next Thursday, September 22 from 7–9PM. CAMH members will get an exclusive first look at the exhibition from 6–7PM. Learn more about the opening events through the link in our bio. #TroyMontesMichie #RockOfEye #atCAMH
