Coming out of recovery to announce our new single “Stealing Time” is premiering at the BBC @bbc6music @laurenlaverne radio show(Link in Bio- song at 1:20:15). This song will be part of the Vinyl LP out on @fulltimehobbyrecords in October, which will include another new tune along with the previous tracks from the EP. (song is not on Spotify yet but it’s also on sylvie bandcamp where you can pre order the vinyl) “Stealing Time” is a song about escaping the congested and overstimulating city of LA and getting out to the countryside- trying to find moments of peace and reflection. This last year I took a lot of trips and long drives alone through the mountain ranges, valleys, and deserts surrounding the city- sitting with the stillness of nature, trying to slow my thoughts down and do nothing. In those moments of serenity I felt like I could stop time or like I was stealing time back that I’d lost, and that feeling inspired the sentiment of this song. It’s strange timing for this release given the accident and near death experience we just went through on tour. I’m so grateful for my life, my friends & family- especially the ones who’ve showed up for me and given me hope and courage these past couple weeks. Thank you to everyone else who reached out- I’m sorry I haven’t responded yet as I’ve needed a break from engaging on my phone, but the ❤️ means a lot .
