To my lovely Riley Rae: as you enter your double digit years I hope you cherish your family and your friends who will carry you through the next few years of figuring out who you are. I’m so grateful that after the shutdown we were able to have a party to celebrate your go-with-the-flow personality. On your actual birthday this year, we all finally caught the dreaded Covid for the first time. Riley conquered Covid before any of us in April. The fact that our family caught it on your birthday and we promised you a celebration to make up for the last two years and you never said a complaint about it was just a small factor of who you are. Riley never spoke an ill word or whined while we were sick. She asked how she could help.
