The job fair kicks off the night from 6 - 9pm indoors at Nowadays👨🏽‍🎤👨🏽‍🍳👨🏽‍🔬 <3 This month we are raising funds for community mainstay Yocheved and her family, who are in urgent need of housing repairs while navigating multiple disabilities, as well as Nuestros Lazos Fest in Lima, Peru. Yocheved (@lordt.hammercy) is a ✨ radiant ✨ and deeply cherished musician, writer, and icon who has spent the last decade holding community space for Black/trans/GNC/ disabled/working class people across Central Florida, Tennessee, NYC and San Francisco. Her project Obliviana blends genres with songs to make you laugh, cry, and throw ass. Yocheved urgently needs funds to repair her family’s home in Gainesville 🏠, and to keep several disabled natal and chosen family members in crisis afloat. We gotta give this legend all our love! For our first IRL transnational fundraiser, we are taking the team to Peru 🇵🇪 ❤️‍🔥 for Nuestros Lazos Fest, a 4 day festival taking off on World AIDS Days in collaboration with @kikihouseofprince, the pioneering Ballroom house in Peru. Through workshops, a kiki ball, after party, and panel discussions we will be raising funds for @rednacionaljcv a network of teens and young people living with/affected with HIV in Peru.🦋
