Yesterday marked 22 years since Madonna, the Queen of Pop, released her ICONIC “Music” album. “Impressive Instant,” an experimental club track produced by Mirwais was an instant — pun intended — standout and fan favorite. It was intended to be the 4th single from the album but her label at the time, Warner Bros., wanted to release the more “radio-friendly” song “Amazing” instead due to its similarities to its predecessor “Beautiful Stranger” (which in turn was inspired by William Orbit’s Liquid Remix of “Ray Of Light”). They wanted to use the live performance from Madonna’s then upcoming Drowned World Tour as the music video and call it good. So Madonna axed “Amazing” from the show — as legend as it — and the album singles cycle concluded with “What It Feels Like For A Girl.” The song did find success in the clubs with remixes by the legendary Peter Rauhofer which saw its first commercial release on her recent compilation “Finally Enough Love”. What was YOUR favorite track from the “Music” album!? . . . . #madonna #madonnafans #madonnafan #madonnamusic #impressiveinstant #drownedworldtour #queenofpop @madonna
