The Good Life Society What a weekend! On our way home from a magical weekend at @thegoodlifesoc festival and have left with so much to process and so much to be thankful for. I spent this morning drawing with whittled bamboo and ink, then at a ‘dance and the earth elements’ workshop where I danced in the rain. It was wonderful and grounding. Yesterday we went on a mass walk, burnt an obelisk and sang a song about hope around the fire. Whilst I appreciate this might not be everyone’s bag, it was exactly what I needed. I can remember a time, not so long ago, where life was a real emotional slog, and the only thing that kept us going was a glimmer of hope. We have different hopes and dreams now, but that time was bleak and it was beautiful and moving to sit with that feeling and acknowledge how far we have come ❤️ Apparently I was at the festival for work?! I did an hour long Nistisima demo over the fire pit and what an amazing crowd. People were laughing, devoured my food, and the books sold out! Just goes to show you can cook cracking vegan food over fire too. So yes, work, but I think I came away with much more ✨ Thanks @james_golding_chef @mz_americka for being dream pals! @joe_woodhouse your feast was stunning!
