Lauren Nauman, Ceramic Artist, Boston, Mass. One icey cold morning in 2020, i hopped in rental car and drove from Providence to the outskirts of Boston to photograph ceramic artist @lauren.nauman for @thegarnered. Lauren used to live in London, and had relocated back to Massachussetts. Nauman has an ever evolving collection of vessels, that resemble carved pieces of leather. Multiple lines of clay that look soft but are hardened in a kiln, mesmerizing fluid forms that play with the light. Though American, Lauren has a deep love for Europe and hopes to one day come and live again on this side of the Atlantic.
