I will be forever grateful for this snowy day back in I think 2017. It may be five years ago, but every time I see these images I am filled with such joy. As a kid I dreamt of the perfect white Christmases. As a kid I loved Christmas, and counted down the days to it every year. I loved decorating trees, and baking, and following @marthastewart48’s Christmas guidance like she herself was the reason for the season. As I grew older the magic died, but on this day in 2017 it was a time to cut a tree, a tradition that seemed so distant and idealized for this southern kid. The snow came and came, creating a snow globe. It was like for a few fleeting hours I was in my very own Christmas movie.
