I have such fond memories of the United Kingdom going all the way back to my years as a student, followed by the more than a decade when I lived in Europe during which London was the primary HQ of our business. And the hotel that I have probably spent more time in than any other was @theathenaeum. This morning, I returned and who should greet me at the door with a smile and a hearty “Mr. Duthiers!” was my old friend Jim Burns. His warmth and hospitality is one of the reasons I made the this delightful, family run hotel my home away from home for so many years. The fact that he immediately remembered my name as soon as he saw me - after more than a dozen years - is just one of the attributes that makes him a legend and a consummate gentleman among #London’s doormen.
