When the only ✌🏼 you find these days is in a flower. When my health really started to fade towards the end of last year, I was reminded to treat myself life a flower. Food, water, sunlight. The basics. I’ve struggled in this industry to be eco-conscious and not kill myself working too hard. But I’m reminded every day that seed to vision matters. Toiling matters. Harvest matters. The flower seed is planted by incredible human farmers who get the florals to Los Angeles and the party starts there for me. No, I don’t have time for my own farm unfortunately. I’m the face of the designs, but the farmers and importers and wholesalers? Those are the faces we should be thanking. @fleurametzla will forever be my people on the LA side. They’ve been my family for 5 years. I’m dedicated to telling a story through art and sometimes that story is for a couple or for someone else. & other seasons, like this one, it’s for me too. 💐 will bring peace. It’s why we deliver them when people die. But somehow, we carry them when we walk down aisles to the love of our life. I don’t know anything with so much adaptability or significance. I was 2 steps away from giving my entire business away and my whole community flocked to support me in getting through these past 2 years and not exploding the whole thing. Spoiler: I kept it and will be continuing with my incredible couples and adding on more for @alabasterblooms and I to love on. @themaypham and incredible freelancers keep our ship running and meanwhile? I’m off to ID, LA, NY, Vegas, Nash to start marketing destination shoots and elopements. We have an incredible team for all of that and extra shout out to one of my BFFs @joshjholm for dreaming up @castlesandqueens and creative directing NY for me. We went to school together and reunited as work BFFs 6 years later 🥺 Dreams come true kids, just look to the 💐 and the people that love you for help. Don’t be afraid to look within yourself. You are strong enough. Even if no one else thinks so. Extra s/o to my flower sis @heidilureign for telling me 1,412 times that she wouldn’t be CEO & then quitting.
