I’m not very good at saying shit eloquently, so I tend to shy away from speaking on social media. I have been trying to find the right words for this, though I now realise, nobody gives a fuck and that’s not what is important. There are a lot of people I care about going through it right now and it makes me deeply sad knowing this is just the most recent chapter of a constant emotional struggle for them. The world is fucked up. In order for change to happen, the people who are NOT affected by the fucked up shit need to ACTIVELY and STRATEGICALLY support those who are. CHOOSING to do nothing in dismantling social injustice (whilst it may be something you morally oppose) is only further contributing to the problem. I don’t know exactly what being active with it means just yet, that’s what I need to figure out.. but I encourage any other white people reading this to do the same.. if they give a fuck. Stay disruptive. Speak up. #blacklivesmatter
