Apart from the the positive reactions, sometimes when I share what I do here on IG with those in real life it’s met with disbelief, confusion and occasionally mild ridicule. But what I always try to get across is that my aim here is to consistently inspire confidence through dressing well in a way that works for you. I love doing it by encouraging you to explore, to experiment and to find your personal style as this is one of the first things that can suffer when you’re not in a good place and not feeling your best. On the contrary, when you start to pay attention to even the smallest details regarding how your clothes fit - the cut, the feel of the fabric, where the hem sits or how loose or fitted an item is - that’s when you realise what a huge impact these factors can have on your level of confidence. By no means am I saying it’s the only factor that fosters confidence as there are so many other things that contribute to it (our relationships with ourselves and others, our upbringing, our achievements etc) however it does play an important role. Confidence helps us to feel ready for life's experiences. When we're confident, we're more likely to move forward with people and opportunities — not back away from them. And if things don't work out at first, confidence helps us try again. It's the opposite when confidence is low. So if I can contribute just a little bit of that to someone through sharing my passion for personal styling, that in turn helps me and strengthens my confidence as I know what a huge difference it can make!
