Decades ago, when I was in college at @appstate, my GF at the time asked if I would teach her how to play guitar. I was at App studying to be a band director, and her guitar looked WAY EASIER than my clarinet, so I agreed (and obviously I also wanted to score some points with her). Not too long after that (thanks to my college roommate @shirazetteshebeatstinnin asking me to be her band's fill-in keyboard player for a night), I'd write my first song (on the keys), enter it in the campus talent show, and win first place. I eventually picked the guitar back up, and worked hard at becoming a better songwriter and artist, and the rest, as they say is history! - Richlands, NC might be the place that raised me, but Boone, NC is the place that built me as a songwriter and musician. It is so incredibly dear to me, so to be coming home to Boone to play @boonerangfest means more to me than I can articulate. - I see you, 2023. LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
