Last night at the Whitney Museum of AMERICAN Art: just wow! 🤯 Went to the opening of “no existe un mundo poshuracán: Puerto Rican Art In The Wake Of Hurricane Maria” and I have no words! The exhibition is amazing: what Marcela has brought together at a premiere art institution - and one focused on American Art - is stupendous and important. To have an entire floor dedicated to work about colonialism, disaster, resilience and resistance - and entire floor dedicated to a people so constantly ignored... well, it was truly so moving. Art is what changes culture. Art is resistance. I am so grateful for the work of the artists and the brilliant curator who put this show together and this gorgeous night! And to Carmen Rita Wong for such a brilliant evening. Run and see this show! Wepa!! 🇵🇷❤️💫
