OUR PROPOSAL STORY 💍 Ok, so here’s how it all went down... Every year, my family & I go to @blakefarms to indulge in a day of feel-good fall festivities (fall is my favorite season, btw). Typically, this consists of a hayride around the apple orchard and indulging in some warm cider & donuts (gluten-free for me 😊) before heading home. This year we did all the same stuff, but I knew something was up (another story for later 😂). For one, Rob was a little too concerned about what I was gonna wear and my family was acting weird all day lol. Anyway, Rob says he wants to go sit by the fire pits for a while, so we walk over to an area where more family & a few close friends are standing around a fire pit. The first person I see is @styledbyjones grinning from ear to ear before I see a small crowd of familiar faces peering from behind their smartphones. There’s a man playing soft melodies from his guitar. “Oh shoot, this is really happening,” I think before turning to Rob. My eyes immediately begin tearing up as Rob starts talking. Please don’t ask me what he said because my mind was basically gone at this point lol — all I remember hearing was “marriage” and “wife” 😂. And my hands were SHAKING (partially because it was freezing outside, and mostly from nerves 🥲). I was literally stuck lol. “You gotta take off your glove now, babe,” he says with a smile before getting down on one knee, removing my left glove, and presenting the most gorgeous ring I’ve ever seen. I take a moment to collect myself before responding with an inevitable “Yes”and sealing it with a kiss. Then I ascended to a cloud, floating from one person to the next through a sea of warm hugs and “congratulations”. Afterwards, we gathered with some family at my Uncle Joe & Aunt Karen’s (aka parents #2 lol - slide 9) house to celebrate.
