⚡️ last week i saved a 5 year old girl at the pool. The family had just arrived and was wondering around the hotel. For some reason I went to this area at that time around 8:30pm. (my daughter was at the kids club and my husband put our son to bed). They were looking at the sunset at the ocean while their little girl fell behind their back into the pool. Besides a little splas the girl drowned very silently. The wind was so loud that the parents didn't hear the splash. Why am I writing this? It happend to me a few years ago at the lake with my daughter. You turn around for a second and something happens without you even noticing. I felt so ashamed at that time... I don't even know why I went to the pool that night but something send me there. Luckily i could jump in and get her in that exact moment. After the first shock her mom bursted in tears and I was holding her- feeling the exact pain i felt before 💔 Water it is so scary. That night i will never forget when I got little M. out of the water. Life is so precious- following my gut feeling at that night led me to this situation. When kids are drowning it's often silent. How to end this text? I don't really know. I made a mistake of not watching years ago. I felt so guilty for such a long time but it made me realize again that it can happen. A second. It happens. It hurts to the bone to fail in a situation like that but I try to believe that our children are protected somehow- just as I was there to save that little girl at that night 🙏 feel free to share your story under this post if you ever had a similar experience... #kids #drowningprevention #grateful
