639 South La Brea Avenue has been cleared for the construction of MA's first project to be built in Los Angeles—an 8-story, approximately 300,000-square-foot mixed-use development featuring a blend of hospitality and multifamily programming. Located directly north of the new Wilshire/La Brea subway station currently under construction, the project is utilizing transit-oriented development incentives to increase density, adding 125 hotel rooms and 121 residences to the neighborhood—a portion of which will be set aside as subsidized affordable housing. The project will also feature 13,000 square feet of ground-floor retail and below-grade parking spaces.
