Outtakes from the 1st chapter, “The Bois Who Died in their Sleep’ (a dedication to Ki’tay Davidson) from the series ‘Flowers at Your Feet’ created in Brooklyn, NY, featuring Dash Porter (🤍)
I love walking away from a vision only to return with some clarity as it pertains to a continuation—and most of the time, it all intuitively falls into alignment and involves a declaration of patience (what’s the rush?).
I will be focusing on Flowers at Your Feet (as well as other projects) for the next year — if you are a Black trans masculine individual (in LOS ANGELES & NYC for now) and would like to be a part of a visual experience that is anti-utopic yet casts a light on the importance of dream mapping, respite, and documentation of our contemporary landscape — please email [email protected]. Even if you live outside the cities, I mentioned above — Please feel free to connect with me. I would love to stay in touch.
I don’t care about body types or what you do // as long as you feel like you exist underneath a trans masculine umbrella. I’m attempting to create the most extensive visual archive of Black trans masculine individuals (and, Black trans people overall) // gladly it won’t be the only because we are living within a Black trans renaissance.
On a separate note — I will be hosting sliding-scale portrait sessions in Los Angeles and Detroit over the next month. More info will be in my stories in the next few days.
