Let’s Talk Extentions & Corrective Color! ⁣ This is one of my favorite extension transformations ever! (in both pics her actual hair was just past her shoulders- swipe to see👉🏼) ⁣ In this case we wanted to go significantly lighter without stressing her hair too much. So the extensions did most of the work for us! ⁣ ⁣ When I highlighted I focused the lightness around her face and perimeter, keeping the majority of her natural canvas medium and dark- and then used a specific extension placement to add the majority of lightness (👍🏼if this makes sense)! ⁣ Keypoints:⁣ 1. Each tape-in extension sandwich is a combo of 2 different lengths and 2 different colors. This gives a MUCH more blended result. With minimal cutting. ⁣ 2. To create an ombré effect thinks about your placement like a bullseye. The outer ring (closest to the face) has the most lightness, then slowly transitioning darker towards the top center. The transition occurs in part by the order the colors are sandwiched (light and medium). ⁣ 3. Transition how your lengths are sandwiched to create a soft layered effect. In this case to add maximum length I sandwiched 17” on top of 21” from nape to high occipital, then 13” on top of 17” from high occipital to crown, then mixed in some razor cut 13”s on of full length 13’s ” for face framing and top layers. This prevents SO MUCH cutting and texturizing. ⁣ ____⁣ Formulas:⁣ Hair Extensions: tape-in, colors 23, 7 & 6 ⁣ Natural hair:⁣ Highlight Redken FlashLift Bonder Inside with 20 vol⁣ Root color @Redken Shades Eq Root shadow 5n5g blended into 6n6nb6g blended into 9n9nb9gi. ⁣ Treated with Redken Extreme Chem Shot and Cat treatment, and All Soft Mega Mask ⁣ Styled with One United Spray (Magic for extension hair btw) and Glo-Dry oil 💗⁣ ⁣ Hopefully you found something helpful in here!
