TRIGGER WARNING : date r*pe drugs First, thank you all to everyone who reached out on my story I shared last week. I truly appreciate it, more then you know. I haven’t been able to respond to everyone yet, but I am going to. I received over a thousand messages, and unfortunately some of you shared very similar scary situations with me. It’s absolutely frightening thinking this happens on the regular. And many of you shared that this has happened not only in alcoholic beverages but non alcoholic as well. Two weeks ago Friday, I left work and headed down to my nail appointment in Rochester Hills. My nail appointment was at 5:30pm. I love my nail appointment days. Rose (my nail gal) is the sweetest, and I love chatting with her about whatever, she’s super talented. We like to talk so I left my appointment at around 7:45. I texted Ben to see if he wanted anything to eat from down in Rochester, he texted me back and said that he already ate, so he was good. I started driving to The Villages, and was planning on ordering carry out to eat in the car on the way back but decided to just go inside the restaurant because I was hungry and it was now almost 8pm. I entered “The Restaurant” and was greated by the host. I asked if I could just sit at the bar, she said yes so I walked over and sat down. There was a couple sitting a few spots over from where I sat on my right. And no one on my left. The bartender almost immediately brought me a drink menu when I sat down. Said hello, and gave me a minute to look over the menu. I wasn’t planning on drinking, but saw that they had a Coconut Mojito on the menu and thought, why not? I ordered one when the bartender approached me. He went and made my drink, and while he was making it, I was deciding what I wanted to eat. When he dropped off my drink, I placed my food order. When my food came out, I was about half way done with my drink, and thought to myself that I was feeling way more buzzed then I should be. For comparison - Ben and I were down in Detroit the previous weekend and had drinks and dinner and more drinks, and I felt more buzzed then I did then, so I thought that was odd. ...Continued in comments below...
