This LA update is introduced by my very cool 😎 five (?) year old self. She would’ve been excited to see the OG costumes of “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes” (😆, swipe 👉) @academymuseum. Wouldn’t be an LA update without flowers, Malibu, sunsets, and other art highlights like Sanford Biggers @caaminla, @thewattstowers, and David Hockney pool. The video is of “Sun & Sea,” opera composed by Lina Lapelytė with libretto by Vaiva Grainytė & directed by Rugilė Barzdžiukaitė @moca. I found it surprisingly moving to watch people playing, talking, singing & lazying about on the “beach” for an hour.
