Collaborations, to me, should always have a deeper meaning. @stephenmalbon and I go way back—long before we ever found ourselves in the world of golf. Not many people know this, but the Mate’ logo has roots that run deep. It comes from a collection of things I discovered at our family home in the Philippines after my father passed. He was always practicing his penmanship, sketching signs just to perfect his hand style.
