Every year, I try to think of new ways to tell you how much I love you and appreciate you immensely. It’s a funny feeling considering I kinda enjoy the repetition of everyday life, but I lean towards trying not to repeat myself in expressing how I feel about you. I know that my love language is touch, so it’s easy for me to do that- rubbing your feet at the end of the day, scratching your back; but I always catch myself going “ dude, remember that her’s is ‘words of affirmation’, duh”. (Yea I talk to myself exactly this way) I generally know a little about a lot of things, but I know A LOT about you. Things most people probably don’t know or don’t get to see. Your profound loyalty. Your passion for, well, everything that interests you in that exact moment in time. Your true silliness when no one’s around. Your ability to just roll with anything, no matter what. Your constant reach for the stars. Your absolute love for our friends. The way we laugh, and laugh, and laugh when it’s just us at home. Your beautiful eyes that I could stare at forever. The way you go from zero to sixty in one second flat for a character on a show that was wronged. The way you call me the second something crazy has happened and you’re exploding with excitement; because that’s not just what spouses do, it’s also what best friends do. The way you walk around the house on your tippy toes when you’re cold. The way you rifle through mail hoping there’s something good in there for you, only to discover endless, unwanted credit card offers and junk mail from AAA. Yea it’s a long list, but it’s not even half of the things I love about you. I love all of these little things because I know you intimately. And I’ll love you deeply and forever.
