When I was halfway through reading The Opposite of Butterfly Hunting by Evanna Lynch, I posted a pic of it to Twitter and a lovely editor got in touch to ask if I would write a review. This is the first book review I have written outside of a school classroom. I felt a fierce responsibility to this beautiful book that could so easily be dismissed or misunderstood. I have mixed feelings after writing the review, mostly disappointed that I couldn’t encompass just how great this memoir is, without reducing it or judging it. All I can say is please, read the book. @evannalynch is a magical storyteller. It’s more than a recovery story, a memoir about “overcoming” and “conquering” anorexia.
