Flashback. Trip out. Slide #1 was my mural on the Ibanez booth at NAMM show. Circa 2004, this is just after I left (hed), and thought I would transition to a ‘normal life’ after touring. At this point my spirit was crushed. I had no direction that felt good. Though my life yet hadn’t gone completely to the bottom, my soul felt lost. This was pre-Korn, pre-Rock to Recovery®. I was mid 30’s, no education, looking for answers. I felt like a washed up almost-rockstar that went from signing autographs to working NAMM show. Brutal for the ego. Just goes to show you; you just don’t know what lies ahead. Just keep goin. Slide #2 is what happened. Music IS my life. Listen to your soul and your spirit when it speaks to you. That’s a call we can’t ignore. The price is too high. Never stop doing what makes you happiest.
