The Sixth Street Viaduct is OPENING! It is the largest bridge project in the history of Los Angeles and replaces the original, seismically-deficient structure that was built in 1932. Once completed, the Viaduct will connect the Arts District, on the eastside of Downtown to Boyle Heights. A 12-acre park, access to the Los Angeles River, public art, recreational programming and much more is planned underneath the viaduct. Join @kdeleoncd14 and the City of LA for a two-day community celebration; Saturday July 9th and Sunday July 10th! Saturday’s event features live music, street performance, food trucks, market, vintage car display and more. The night concludes with fireworks and the official lighting of the bridge. Headlining band is OZOMATLI! Sunday is for bikes and walkers!
