The basic equality and human rights of every woman in America have been threatened by the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. The right to control and make decisions about our own bodies is fundamental to our freedom and our rights as equal citizens in our democracy. Forcing women to carry unwanted pregnancies will have deadly consequences, particularly for Black women. Black women will NOT stop fighting for our human and civil rights. We will not stop fighting until Reproductive Justice is the law of the land. It’s important to know that the ruling does NOT mean that abortion is illegal nationwide and is STILL legally protected in several states.
