Gaston grew up with his father and his older brother, Jacques. Although he loved his father, he would criticize Gaston’s every move because he was nothing like his big brother. Jacques was a hunter and Gaston was a painter 🎨. Gaston’s brother was mysteriously found dead in the forest at the age of 24 after what was supposed to be a quick hunting trip. Grief sent his father into a terrible depression. He eventually lost his mind and was sent to live in the town asylum. Gaston vowed to transform himself into Jacques to somehow gain his father’s approval.
