SMOKE N MIRRORS - Drops 9/11 - I made most of these records about a year ago, going thru multiple elaborate entanglements, finding my tribe @nofunla , making a living, fighting to stay inspired, and following thru with ideas I’ve sat on for years, to even facing the fact that I’m in control of how I choose to feel about everything! Good or bad. Real or fake. Smoke n mirrors. This project is me not letting the lack of validation, devalue the power of my ideas. We’re gonna die one day and I wanna pass knowing I gave it everything in my heart. I spoke from a place in my heart and not just a calculated maneuver. So this is an ode to the romantic situations I’ve entertain that were empty thou I gave my all. A toast to the self doubt I allowed to poison my momentum but crafted these sounds, and also the soundtrack to pull myself out of the delusional space i spent so much time in. I started this project, MY FIRST PROJECT AS ME, to set a reminder of where I started. So I don’t forget where I am now, when this time has passed. I wanna thank every person I’ve encountered, shared spaces or evan collaborated with. You’ve shaped me. This is the foundation. The jumping off point. Thank you.
