Joining this team has been my dream for years. Finally, 2 years in the making, I was a part of “the dream team.” From the start of the year, I knew this team was going to be something special. From meeting new people, learning a new style of dance and opening new opportunities for myself. Every day I grew closer and closer to the people around me, and from the start of the season, we set our goals and started working towards a National Championship. Our saying the whole year was, “better than yesterday.” As teammates, we pushed each other to limits we didn’t know we were capable of and were proud each time we finished. I can truly say I have found my forever people. I tell myself every day, I wish I was able to join sooner, because some of the people I spent hours and days with, will be leaving for bigger and better things. I want to say thank you to my teammates and coaches for welcoming me with open arms, teaching me new things and being my biggest supporters all season. My first national experience was one I will never forget. Dance team in general has been a completely new experience, but DTU Nationals was truly amazing. Staying with my team, practicing for hours, taking the nationals stage, our pre-talks before performing, late nights, and always laughing together, will be one big core memory. Thank you to all our helpers and supporters this whole season. We got the recognition we have deserved for years, an undefeated Pom season, and got our Pom National Championship. I love you guys 💙🥹🥇
