Friday 16th December saw the inaugural launch of the official Freetown Fashion Design & Creative Arts Network. 
A two year collaboration between @odi.global, the Mayor of Freetown, SL @yvonneakisawyerr, the Mayor of Milan @beppesala and LABRUM is now a thriving and rapidly evolving partnership. Our aim and focus is on creating opportunities for long-term skills development, job exchange programs alongside targeted mentoring and business development support. The mayors will shortly establish the Freetown Fashion & Design Platform whilst supporting the ‘Made in Sierra Leone’ brand to help position the country in global fashion markets. Together, in Milan, we are working with representatives from the fashion industry covering techniques such as sustainable dyes, textiles, ethical sourcing options and exploring innovative new commercial partnerships with stakeholders in Sierra Leone. Additionally we’ll be scouting wider opportunities in the West African market. Thank you for everyone involved and for your support.
