URGENT!! THIS SMALL SENIOR NEEDS A FOSTER HOME STARTING TOMORROW SEPT 19th!!! Sunshine is 12 years old, 12 lbs, very mellow at home, potty trained, and loves burrowing under blankets. She’s ok with dogs on the street but is unhappy in her current foster home because she can’t stand living with other dogs — which means she needs to be the only pup in the home. Grownups only, she can be crotchety if approached wrong. We rescued her a few weeks ago and discovered afterward that she has mammary tumors that may be cancerous. She’s having x-rays and an ultrasound tomorrow morning so we know how to proceed, and then needs a new place to stay where she can relax more. Her current foster mom says: “It’s hard to believe that Sunshine is 12 years old, not only because of how she looks but because of how spunky she is. She’s a perfect balance of a lil old lady and a younger dog. She loves playing with toys and going on walks just as much as she loves curling herself up under the covers or being toted around in your arms. She shows no fear of the city’s hustle and bustle. She’s completely housebroken and great about being self sufficient (aka she doesn’t follow you around the house or suffer from separation anxiety). She rarely makes a peep and is generally low maintenance. She needs to be handled gently and will be quick to let you know if you’re handling her too rough.” PLEASE HELP!!
