This #ArtBaselMiami The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach introduced “Art For Good”, celebrating art, innovation, nature, & the limitless potential of human collaboration. Artist-in-Residence Serge Attukwei Clottey installed a museum quality work of art titled “The Bodies Left Behind” with found objects washed ashore in his hometown in Ghana. The columns are beautifully clad in Afrogallonism which surround the Ghanaian boat and it’s objects in the historic Morris Lapidus lobby. To bring the concepts to life, we’ve partnered with visionaries José Andrés, Serge Attukwei Clottey & Neville Wakefield. These key collaborators were thoughtfully selected for their commitment to significant and positive change across sustainability, preservation of the arts, amplification of minority voices and more. The Bodies Left Behind will remain on view until December 13th @ritzcarltonsouthbeach. This site specific installation was made possible by the ownership group Ben Josef, Olarte Kanavos and Lowenstein Families, along with Deusche Bank Wealth Management.
