Materials and Processes - This is the corner timber component of the HOSHI armchair. This part was engendered and refined by the team at @evostyle_aus back in 2015. Made from solid American Oak boards on a 5 axis CNC - The small hole allowed us to fit a steel adjustable cam connecting to the arm rail and could be tightened after glue up. This not only reienfirced the joint with steel but allowed for a glue up without clamps. Something that can be very tricky when working with round / curved profiles. This is another great example of collaboration in our industry and the lengths people and companies will go to resolving a product. Thank you!
