It's crucial that we continue pressing gov't so that the $369B in this bill actually go to black, indigenous and frontline communities!✊🏾✊🏿✊🏼✊🏽 As a White House Advisor, I am demanding the inclusion of Justice40 principles in the Inflation Reduction Act, which authorized about $369 billion in climate investments throughout the next decade. Justice40 is a White House initiative to ensure at least 40% of climate and clean energy funds go to marginalized communities overburdened by pollution and extraction. It is great to have this bill passed but now the real works begins of making sure environmental racism and other systems of oppression at the state and local level don't try to steal money away from the people and communities that need it.
