This is a video clip from 2002 with me, @kanyewest and @eightyocho at a beat showcase I got invited to. Me with no placements. Me in mom’s basement. I just watched Ye’s documentary and It was so insanely inspiring and motivating that I had to bring this moment and clip back (selfishly hah) because he changed my life and this night altered my destiny. I borrowed my friend’s Triton to play my beats that night. I remember Kanye showing so much love and couldn’t believe 88 keys was dancing like that to my beats. This was before College Dropout came out and I remember Ye was playing beats from that album. He even gave me a demo CD that night. I, like everyone else that night, knew he was a star and I was honored to share some of that energy even if it was just for a few hours. Im so incredibly grateful to be on this path and I literally still feel like that same kid that night. Thank you @beatsocietyoriginal Thank you Ye for inspiring us all forever.
