I’ve been really down on myself since my back injury last week at Paradise Square...missing my cast and my friends big time—also being stuck in the house and feeling pain every time you lie down sucks, but I digress. . Earlier this week I was invited to the @mrmalcolmslist movie premiere, so after some thought and a quick conversation with my Doc, I loaded up on my pain meds, got fancy, and brought my love @yasmeens to the premiere. And WOW! This film is absolutely gorgeous. It truly is about love and how vulnerable one must be to truly experience it. What made it even better was all the people of color who inhabited the world! I had the opportunity to wear this thought-provoking piece crafted by the phenomenal @homebyareeayl that literally is “seats at the table” and I see how important representation was to the creation of this movie; and how they are actively creating space and arranging seats for every young, black and brown person who sees themselves in this film.
