What you see here, is a slightly more modern interpretation of the car that helped put Mercedes AMG on the map - the 300 SEL "Red Pig". The original Red Pig started out as damaged 300 SEL luxury car powered by a 6.3L that was punched out to 6.8L for the race car. Going from a solid 250hp to a bit over 425. The rest of the car saw a significant weight reduction and restoration but kept the full interior and a few other creature comforts. The result was a blazing fast race car that went on to finish top of its class and 2nd overall in the 1971 Spa 24 Hours. This version, built by @classicrescuecoachwork is quite true to the car's original form but also features a more modern M119 MB V8 mated to a Getrag 6-speed manual from a BMW M5.
