From a distance, her paintings are swaying abstractions, forming powerful and tingling physical memories; on closer inspection, the traces of her carvings on countless layers of oil paint make the canvas fall into a contradiction of dimensions. Before the paint on the surface is dry, Quin will use a bread knife to carve traces of different shapes, and finally use a trace monotype to add a layer of imagery.
