As I reflect from last week, I’ve been thinking a lot about - opportunities - Do you create your own opportunities? Are opportunities given to you? Who deserves these opportunities? Do I deserve these opportunities? I’ve realized that when I talk to some of the most successful people I know, they all have something in common. They’re not easily satisfied, they’re always willing to keep learning, they don’t take shortcuts, and failure is a part of their journey. I think opportunities are a result of going through that. The best actors, athletes, creators in the world are often called “cocky” .. I like to call it “confident.” I think opportunities and confidence are linked together. When you visualize yourself in a certain position, you’re preparing yourself to be confident to attack that opportunity. You’re pretty much teaching yourself how to deal with the occasion before it becomes real. I was in a podcast a couple of weeks ago and I mentioned that one of the biggest things I’ve learned this year is how to be “confident & proud” of what I’m doing. Even though it could seem like it’s not much for some people, it’s my current reality. There is nothing wrong about looking at yourself in the mirror and saying “I am going to tell the best stories of the week through my images, I am going to change the industry through my podcast, I am going to make the best videos of the weekend, I am going to be the best.” As long as that person is always “you” be confident and proud. 📸: @furyphotography & @emomphoto
