The Working set VS. Warm up set with #FBF client @hi_imbriah
If you want to optimize building muscle progressive overload is key. Warming up, building up to that top set of 8-12 reps and bringing it to failure.
Mechanical failure isn’t when you want to stop or when you feel tired it’s when you go for that last rep and your muscle physically fails and the next week trying for one more rep or one more pound!
1st Video: This is my top set, you’ll see I go for the 9th rep and physically can’t, that’s what mechanical failure looks like. Top sets don’t always look pretty, form isn’t always perfect but pushing yourself is how you’ll grow and get stronger!
2nd Video: My first warm up set, still difficult but cleaner with a couple reps still in the tank, saving that extra bit of energy for bringing those working sets to failure
