When I first moved to Chicago, one of the stops Elvis took me to was one of his “you auttah know” (Chicago accent) spots in the Puerto Rican neighborhood (Humboldt Park) called El Nuevo Borinquen. I remember eating nearly half of the half and being so full and sleepy after...which was perfect because right as we were leaving the restaurant it started to rain, so we watched Netflix the rest of the afternoon. Omg what a tasty sandwich. Is it a sandwich? Two starchy bready things on the outside that I can squish and get the contents in the middle inside my belly faster...? A vehicle of sorts.
